House painting in Fairfield Glade
Fairfield Glade is unlike anywhere else in the county: a planned resort community that has grown into one of the largest concentrations of homes on the plateau, with its own expectations about how a house should look from the street.
A community built in waves
The Glade was laid out as a resort development beginning in 1970 and has been built out in waves ever since, so the housing stock runs from 1970s cottages and condos to homes finished in the last few years. A large share of the residents moved here from somewhere else, often in retirement, and many have no interest in climbing a ladder to repaint a gable end.
The older homes are where the exterior work concentrates. Wood siding, wood trim and decks from the 1970s and 80s have been through a lot of plateau winters, and the paint on them shows it.
Condos, villas and community standards
The Glade has a lot of attached housing: condominiums and villas where the exterior is maintained by an association and the interior is the owner's. For those, the work is inside: fresh walls and ceilings for a new owner, or a colour change after years of the builder's neutral.
For the detached homes, community standards apply to exterior colours. If you are changing the colour of the house rather than repainting it as it is, check the approval process before we quote, and we will work to whatever colour is approved.

Questions from Fairfield Glade homeowners
We just bought a home in the Glade and want every room repainted before we move in. Can you do that?
Yes, and an empty house is the easiest kind to paint well: no furniture to move, no schedule to work around, and every room can be done in sequence. Tell us the closing date and we will plan the work between closing and moving day.
Do you paint condos and villas?
Inside, yes. The exterior of attached housing in the Glade is usually the association's responsibility, so check with them before asking us to quote outside work on a condo or villa.
Can you help us choose a colour?
We can tell you how a colour will behave in your light and on your surface, which is different from how it looks on a chip. Sample it on the wall in two places and look at it morning and evening before deciding. That costs a day and saves a repaint.
